Methodology

While studying and teaching, I reflected on the education system in place at conservatories, academies and music schools in general. I understood that musical language is learned, or should be learned, like someone who is discovering spoken language. It is through listening that we create bonds with what we hear. This is how we perceive, imitate and recreate the world around us. Imagine a baby or a child. He or she does not learn to read and memorize large texts before listening to someone speak, understanding the sounds or the meaning of a word. Therefore, the process of learning music is, for me, the same as learning a language.
